The purpose of this application is to detect small objects, dust, insects in the metal can just before filling it with sauce.
A Cognex camera of the In-Sight Micro series was used for testing, which was placed in a metallic watertight enclosure to protect against water that they used to clean the space. There was also a special ringlight that puts the garbage into the can. The result was 100% control of production without the slightest intervention by the operator except for the change from product to product.
Below are some photos from the installation and three pictures from the camera where the first one has a successful test (clean bottom and canned walls), while the second and third images check the error (garbage on the bottom and walls).
We handle the error in any way whatsoever the customer wishes. Either by automatic discharging from the line, by an audible / bright alarm or by stopping the engine. In this case, production is stopped with a time delay so that the can is removed from the production line.
